Sunburst Birthday

I've been seeing a lot of the Sunburst/Starburst cards, so i thought I would try one.  I really like the vertical ones I'd been seeing so I started with that.  I thought I would make a birthday card, since I find myself always making thank yous or thinking of you cards. Since I'm in need of Birthday cards I started off with the Birthday Basics DSP.  If you want to make a Sunburst/Starburst card this is the tutorial I watched. I just used some of the colors that were in the DSP (Basic Gray, Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple).  Thanks for stopping by.

Thank You's Ripple

Lately, I feel like I don't get a lot of time to stamp.  When I am "crunched" for time I usually just find a card that I've been wanting to make and follow it exactly.  One, it jump starts my "creative" side and two, it's faster cause the thinking process is already done.  :)  So thank you to all those that share your creations!

I saw this card and wanted to recreate it.  I knew I wanted to change the colors, but wanted to keep everything else pretty much the same. Although, I didn't have the stamp set she used so I changed that too (Okay, okay, so it's not exactly the same). Since it had been a couple days since I had seen it I was just going from memory and just started cutting, stamping and punching away.  Went to put the card together and had to improvise a little. Anyways...long story shorter...this is what I came up with.  The middle flower-- I had to change it (that one in the picture isn't the original one I made). It turns out when you put two of the same colors on top of each other it just didn't POP like I wanted it to.  It'll end up saving it and using it on another card (if my kids don't get to it first).
